Natural History; noun: natʃ(ə)r(ə)l hɪst(ə)ri, plural noun: Natural histories

1. The scientific study of animals or plants, especially as concerned with observation rather than experiment.

UNNATURAL HISTORIES explored the fate of life, both human and animal amidst the rapid changes of the Anthropocene. As we erode biodiversity and find ourselves confined by harsh, rigid artificial environments, the balance between natural and unnatural reaches a tipping point. ‘UNNATURAL HISTORIES’ was Dan’s 3rd joint exhibition with Melbourne-based artist, Luke Hadland, shown at M16 Art Space in Canberra in January 2020.
