‘TREES AND BONES’ is part of a continued investigation into the anthropogenic eroding of biodiversity in the natural world. It explores the disruption of ecosystem structure and impact of invasive species in characteristically captivating detail. The body of work was initially created for a group exhibition and displayed at the Hill Smith Gallery in Adeliade in April 2019, followed by a second showing [with additions] at Smith’s Alternative Gallery in Canberra in October 2019.

The EPIPHYTE series explores the diversity of plant species in old growth forests. A single tree plays host to over 1000 individual plants that cling precariously to existence. Epiphyte #3 was burned in response to the Amazon fires of 2019 with its ashes on display in a vial.
